US PGA National Championship

The PGA Professional National Championship is contested in late June every year. The tournament is a qualifier for the PGA Championship which follows it in August, and the top 20 players from the PGA Professional National Championship go through to the greener grass, so to speak, of the PGA Championship.

It was most recently won by the aptly named Chip Sullivan, who posted a tidy overall score of 282 at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, to take top honors in the tournament.
The 2008 event is set to be held at the Great Waters and Reynolds Landing courses at the Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia, and will be contested from 19-22 June.
